It is not a requirement that those who provide training in parent and family involvement be certified as teachers in California. Motivated teachers seek training and develop techniques to help their students’ famlies feel welcomed, to encourage students to talk to their parents about their school work, and to keep parents informed on how their children are performing. Following are resources that teachers can access to learn parent involvement strategies.
